Acupanel® Contemporary Walnut Acoustic Wood Wall Panels (20)

Acupanel is proud to offer the only fully finished acoustic batten panel in the UK! It is always recommended to varnish natural wood to protect it and more importantly to make it look even better than it already is. Rather than purchasing an oil can separately, save time and money by selecting the finished slab at checkout. You can install it on your wall right out of the box with no extra effort!

A professionally applied satin oil finish is available to give an even coat over the entire panel.

Please note that this is a decorative finish and does not provide protection from water, moisture or heat.

We recommend screwing the panels directly to the wall with the correct fasteners through the acoustic sheeting, or screwing into posts if you want to enhance the sound characteristics even further. Frequently asked questions about Acupanel

How are the panels arriving?

Acupanel wall panels are shipped in boxes; If more than one panel is required, we will pack two panels in one carton.

Are the panels available in larger sizes?

All our panels are available in the size 240 cm x 60 cm. A selection of our panels are available in 300cm x 60cm and 360cm x 60cm sizes.

How do I install the panels?

If you are aiming for class A sound absorption, we recommend installing the panels with rods. However, if you have them for decorative purposes while still wanting to absorb sound, we recommend screwing the panels directly through the acoustic felt backing to the wall with black or gray screws, depending on the backing chosen.

Do you produce custom plate sizes?

We do not currently offer the panels in custom sizes; However, we designed them to be easily trimmed if you need them smaller. They also snap together if you need larger ones.

Can the panels be used in a bathroom or kitchen?

In these areas the panels are perfectly fine as long as they are not in direct contact with water. However, we recommend applying a waterproof coating to the front of the planks whenever possible to protect them from getting wet or damp.

Can the acoustic panels be used outdoors?

The Acupanel range is designed for indoor use only.

What do I do if I need to install plugs, windows or other items?

It's easy to adjust the panels to fit around any object. You can cut the slats widthwise with a saw, and you can cut the felt lengthwise with a sharp blade and then apply it around whatever is on your surface.

(Video) What is the difference between Acupanel® acoustic and non-acoustic panels?

What surfaces can I install the panels on?

You can mount the panels on any surface including brick, concrete and plasterboard.

Do the colors in the pictures match the panels in real life?

The wood used always comes from the same source, so they always look more or less the same. However, since it is natural wood, there may be knots, slight cracks and color deviations. Please contact us if you would like us to send you pictures of the exact lot you might receive.

How can I hide the panel borders?

The panels are designed to have an exposed edge. When the slats are cut through, they are completely black, so one edge always looks like the rest of the panels.

Can I hide cables behind the panels?

YYou definitely can!

Can I add something behind the panels to increase soundproofing?

When mounting with poles, you can use mineral wool or other soundproofing material between the gaps, which will further increase the sound-absorbing properties.

Are some of your panels FSC certified?

We have a number of panels with FSC certification. Please contact us if you need more information about the panels we offer with this certification.

Why should I choose a finished panel?

It is always recommended to varnish natural wood to protect it and more importantly to make it look even better than it already is. For our contemporary oak and contemporary walnut panels, we now offer a satin decorative panel with an oil finish, eliminating the need to finish the panels yourself. Please note that this is a decorative finish only and does not provide protection from heat, water or moisture.
